Because the choice of black and white likely comes down to not wanting to reveal the look of the car until the unveil.

I think Mclaren had an orange car back in -98 too, before the unveiling of the silver/black livery. I always thought the orange looked better!

I know some of the old Mclaren cars were orange at some points in time, but I just don't get the hype over the solid orange... it's just another plain solid colour to me.... not sure of what appeal it has, other than looking like orange tic tacs and making me hungry. That is just me though....



If you ask me, I would love to see something new and original in 2015. Maybe some blue?

i didn't say i expect the cars to be orange next year. just stating how awesome it would be if they did look like that.

If we look at the team wear. I think we'll see a white/black car or a white/red car because of Santander.

Ah yes, 2011. That was the year they also did all sort of crazy colors and patterns with the overalls. Mclaren back then was in doubt if they should step out of the closet or not.

Anyway, I think they'll just keep with they currently have. Lots of people and myself included would love to see the marlboro livery, but chances are that under tobacco regulations they aren't going to be allowed to do so, being too suggestive.
