Photo Comparison MP4/23 - MP4/22

Post

Thanks to Scarbs i completed this project much sooner than i expected to do so .

As all the photo comparison posts , i will keep adding new images as long as i prepare them , so any link to high-res pictures is really valuable to keep feeding this kind of posts

Mc Laren MP4/23 seems to be a very high detailled evolution of MP4/22 . All visual parts seems to be changed from minor-little to major point .MP4/22 was really the most relliable Mc laren car since a lot of years ( i think 1998,1999,2000 were the last relliable seasons)and from the very first tests MP4/23 seems to have inherited this relliability .

Alonso's feedback is something that will be missed but De La Rossa is still there to feel some of the gap left.......

Note how McLaren have redesigned the connection point of the frontal upper wishbone to the nose cone. Especially where the painting ends is remarkable since that is also the seperation of the nose cone itself and the suspension arm.

Imagine how much simpler it will be to fit the nosecone onto the chassis quickly during a pitstop for instance ;)

Apart from the new frontal upper wisbone , i think that the rear suspension has also been redisigned but i can not find some good pictures to make this claim visual through this photo comparison thread .

What about you Tomba , any good rear suspension MP4/23 pics :?: :?:

Hats off to bar555

Mclaren Mp4-23 is derived from Mp4-22 itself.

Tomba, mind explaining further the difference between the nose cone / wishbone attachment points on the MP4/22 and 23? From the pics bar555 posted, they look almost exactly the same to me.

Its interesting to see that the MP4/23 still has the conventional mirror layout and have not gone the same route as renault or ferrari and mount it on the sidepods. I remember last year after the season started they used to have four mirrors attached.

IIRC they only used 4 mirrors during one test to see the difference and whether it would be beneficial.
