Has anyone seen or heard any info on the skirting used to seal the vacuum area? That’s the magic sauce to this imo. The better the seal, obviously the more suction created and less power required from the fans. Would love to find some info on seal design and materials used that allows it to seal well, and not wear out so fast that you have to replace them every 25 miles

For around 10 laps. Then it is much slower than an F1 car. So maybe street sweeping is not too terrible a fate for it.
Sprint racing. Fast charging.

Maybe we could get a bunch of these to clean up tracks when it rains?
That´s the best use you can think about for a car wich is faster than F1 cars on starts, low speed corners and braking from medium speed? :? #-o
It's impressive that you haven't considered this might have been sarcasm.

Here we have a thread about a ground-breaking road car which has unprecedented performance measured by several different metrics and you can't do any better than reiterate the old platitudes about active aero and EVs.
How about - "Top-fuel dragsters - they're rubbish - no endurance at all."

Nuts that it has 2 tonnes of downforce when stationary.
A blanket of nitrogen a few miles thick accelerating at 9 m/s tends to have that effect. It's all about skirt efficacy. Just don't ride a curb mid-corner...

How many cars do you know wich are faster than F1 cars for any ammount of laps? For half a lap maybe? None?

So for first car ever to be faster than F1 cars, and best use you can think about is street sweeping? :o

It is a novel craft with amazing stats but in seriousness it cannot hang with an F1 car or really most motorsports cars on a level playing field, as you know.

Obviously. Do you know any other car wich can beat a F1 on any parameter, even for 1 single lap? No, so this is one of its own, but your posts in this thread are all a mockery of the car, or EVs in general

I´m not going to say this is trolling the thread, but you actually provided enough arguments

SiLo's street sweeper comment has spun out of control. Was just riffing off the humorous reaction to it by Andres125. It is a novel craft with amazing stats but in seriousness it cannot hang with an F1 car or really most motorsports cars on a level playing field, as you know. The skirt tech could be transferred, and this would be interesting (it would certainly alter driving styles).
What have I started...

I'd love to see a spec series with these cars, but I'm not sure how the drivers would deal with the dust lifted from the floor. Maybe if they directed it elsewhere?

It has similar proportions to another compact EV time trial special, the Tajima E-Runner, which ran Pikes Peak. The Spierling seems ideal for either a Nordscheife or Pikes Peak run.

If it can do 10 laps of Silverstone as claimed in that video (~33 miles) then Pikes Peak should be within reach at ~12 miles. Since it's all paved now with no curbs I'd think this would be an ideal location. Since it's a customer track car I predict someone will be sending it up within a year or so after deliveries.

Pikes Peak and Nurburgring both have atrocious road surface for a fan car. Current winner talked about McMurtry in one of his YouTube vids

Pikes Peak looked smooth when it was paved although this was several years ago by now. They could keep track of smooth and rough sections and alter fan use based on that.
