Basically, Miami sucked

I just don't get the appeal of this GP besides allowing F1 to generate some revenue.

Ha ha ha! Just wait until Las Vegas.....you'll think Miami is great.

For now I’m prepared to give Vegas a chance. At least it takes in the part of the city everyone knows and is a real destination event.

I actually found the original Miami proposal interesting, the one taking in the waterfront using the bridges, that event I would like to have seen at least once. I don’t agree with too much Horner says but he was right about the destination events. He said if you’re going to have a London GP it needs to take in Big Ben and Buck House. A GP in Dagenham isn’t recognisable to most as a London GP so isn’t worth it. Same goes for this god awful Miami event.

It's cheaper to build a temporary circuit in a parking lot....FOM is the event promoter. The GP is on their dime.

I believe they couldn't get permission to build it at the original location.

I always wondered when they calendar extended to beyond 20 races, why races are not spread out to more of the year.

Places that have hot summers, makes no sense to have races during the summer months like in Miami. This race could have easily been shifted to January or February.

And why is this race at 3.30 in the afternoon, why cant they start at noon like most others?

Probably due to Sunday evening prime time in Europe, which is their biggest audience.

I am a little lost, is the Miami car park track a front or real limited track ?

wouldn't think it's totally clear (and may also change with the new asphalt, depending on how much grip it comes with), but last year it was more on the front-limited side. Ferrari struggled with front degredation, at least.

F1 has made last minute changes to this race weekend in Miami.

The 1st and 2nd FP starts half an hour earlier than planned.

Last year in Miami there was a lot of criticism from the drivers, especially about the chicane in the tight second sector and the lack of grip.

The organization has tried to tackle the latter by providing the entire circuit around the Hard Rock Stadium with new asphalt. #F1
