Premature. There’s like 14 races left? Bound to be unreliability in there at some point, along with a race with exceptional circumstances. They will likely tail off towards the end of the season, when both championships are won. Alonso should bag a couple of wins somewhere in the calendar.

is going to be a long wait Max is in his forth season without any pu related failures in a race ,perez will be there to cover him i dont expect him to have brain fade for every race.the rbrhonda duo are operating at high level.others cant even complete the required 7 race engine milage without occasionally blowing an engine or two.

The gearboxes need a little work, but I reckon they are highly strung with the recovery on the back axle.

I’d say the gearbox. Yea we have had a shaft issue on Max’s car but that could be down to over zealous weight saving or a ill manufactured part - which can happen.

Reason I say gearbox is we often hear of Max mentioning the downshifts on the radio or a slightly bad up shift.
Something that can be tweaked with the ‘tools’ on the dash. Which points to the ERS system in my opinion and the stresses through the gearbox

IMHO that is all just optimization. That is also where driver feel is important, so Max has to tell what he actually likes best that day.

Maybe if we were a few races away from the end of the season you could say poised. But at the moment there are a lot races left, lots could go wrong for Red Bull before the end of the season.

By lap 6 PER was lapping almost 2 seconds faster than VER
both facing the wind (no one in front or close to it)
PER was on hard
VER was on yellow
PER top speed after the tunnel was 280 while VER was approx 260
during the whole race, PER was fastest by at least 10 km/hr than VER(at the end of the tunnel)
what do you think is the explanation?
VER sandbagging?
PER lose his wings?
love to hear opinions

All Max had to do was control the gap to Alonso. Didn’t need to do anything special or take risk

I agree
what finally end up in RB full potential was deployed/displayed by PER who showed how fast the car could go
1 16 xxx hard tires full of fuel, not DRS
it will be very difficult for the other teams to get one single race during 23 IMHO

SAI goes round, then team no-panic roll through unperturbed LEC, HUL & BOT. Team panic, STR & RUS on the other hand freak out & slide into Mirabeau, lol
