Angle of attack looks quite low on some of these.

McLaren setting up for rain ? Running higher wing than others
I think that's their lowest DF wing that we've seen...

It's possible that with such aggressive upgrade push recently that they haven't had time to make a truly low DF wing in time for spa.. rather than a conscious decision to set up for rain

Thermal Energy Generated Chart

Top left = Front left tyre, Top right = Front right tyre etc...

The rear seem to be under more stress in the majority, the last half of the lap. The front only in le combes tp rivage.
For Sure!!

If we see significant rain disruption this weekend it could be the final nail in Spa’s coffin.

From this angle, I would say RB are carrying the most wing.

If they will run these.

The Mercedes rear flap AoA seems shallower than the Ferrari rear flap AoA

Yes...people going there will drown in the mud and will not see much racing. Worst race to buy a ticket unfortunately...

"It was important for me to organise this today to remember two great friends of us. Amazing drivers that we lost,
Anthoine and Dilano [van 't Hoff], in the last couple of weeks.

"I think it's great as a community and as a big motorsport family to gather together and remember these two amazing talents.

"It's a very special place, a very emotional place, and I just really appreciate you getting all together." 💙

5 place grid penalty for Verstappen on Sunday. Gearbox change.

I would have said this doesn't matter, and that he'll still win by over 30 seconds.
However
It's looking like every session will be either wet, or, rain affected at some point so who knows

I'm worried that it will be too wet and that we won't see much

The interesting factor is:
Within the current rules...how many laps does the Safety Car need to do to have points for the race?
If they do not even start it, is the grid penalty served?

And...most relevant: Will Bernd Maylaender be finally on his well deserved podium?

Safety car laps are irrelevant, they need 2 laps under green flag conditions now.

Eau Rouge needs to be tightened up a fraction so the drivers aren't going through there flat. the outside kerbs removed, the inside kerbs minimized there and at radillion. The reintroduction of grass fringes and gravel traps to actually stop the drivers coming back across the track after an incident, The gravel will also mean that incidents like Lando's last year where he got a tank swapper on should not occur either.

so, session underway, but with more rain on the forecast, I'm afraid we won't get to see too much running anyway. The teams get one additional set of Intermediates, but this is for FP1 and both qualifying sessions together.

That on-board with Leeis looked so treacherous and it's only just started raining hard. It looked like there was potential to spin off in every low to medium speed corner and braking zone.
