Bob Bell leaves Alpine to join Aston Martin as Executive Director

Just a day after leaving Alpine, Aston Martin have confirmed the arrival of Bob Bell, who will take on the role of Executive Director at the Silverstone-based outfit.

The 65-year-old is set to join Aston Martin in an operational role, and he will report to Team Principal, Mike Krack. He will have overall responsibility for the Technical, Engineering and Performance functions as the team aims to rejoin the sharp end of the field.

Bell brings a wealth of Formula One experience to Aston Martin as he has held senior technical positions at McLaren, Renault and Mercedes GP in his motorsport career over the last four decades.

Speaking of the new hiring, Team Principal Mike Krack added: "I am delighted to welcome Bob Bell to Aston Martin Aramco. This is a key appointment to ensure we are optimising everything we do as a team and focusing on the right performance areas. Bob's track record in the sport speaks for itself and his experience will help us continue to make steps forward on the exciting journey we are on."

Expanding on his new role, Bell said: "I have been impressed by the progress Aston Martin Aramco has made in recent years.
