BMW to present talented drivers together with new F1.07

What's become routine for Nick Heidfeld and nothing new for Robert Kubica will be the first for Sebastian Vettel and Timo Glock. Both drivers will experience a Formula One Launch for the first time in their careers on Monday in Valencia.

Nick is the 'oldie' in the team. At the age of 29 and with 117 Grand Prix races under his belt, he has the most experience of all the team drivers. In 2007, Nick will enter his eight Formula One season. In private, the German is a calm and level-minded. On the track, however, he has been known to explode. Nick bagged the majority of the 36 points which the BMW Sauber F1 Team managed to collect in its maiden season. Together with his girlfriend Patricia and daughter Juni, he lives in Stäfa in Switzerland.

Unlike Nick, Robert is still a new face in Formula One racing. Nevertheless, the 22-year-old soon impressed in his first season for the BMW Sauber F1 Team. At the start of last year, he not only clocked outstanding lap times as a Friday driver, but also celebrated a successful GP debut in Budapest as the team's GP regular. At the Italian Grand Prix - only his third ever Formula One race - he finished in third place.

With Robert's promotion, yet another young talent had an opportunity to enter Formula One racing: Sebastian Vettel. Even though he had only completed a few kilometres in an F1 car prior to being called up as Friday driver at the Turkish GP, he immediately recorded comparable performances to Robert and topped the time sheets on several occasions. His debut impressed fans, experts and the team, and was reason enough to keep him on board as the official test and reserve driver for 2007.

Shortly before Christmas, the BMW Sauber F1 Team completed its line-up and signed GP2 driver Timo Glock as the second test driver. Previously, the 24-year-old had left long-lasting impressions in German Formula BMW, which he won in 2003, Formula 3 racing and the American ChampCar series. In 2004, Jordan gave him a chance to prove his skills in Formula One - and Timo seized his chance. In his first race in Montreal, he immediatly managed to collect two World Championship points. He now returns to the pinnacle of motorsport as a test driver.

The 2007 BMW Sauber F1 Team Launch will take place at the 'Feria de Valencia' on Monday, 16 January.
