Court hearing adjourned until tomorrow
The High Court in London adjourned the hearing into the espionage scandal that surrounds Ferrari and Mike Coughlan, the suspended McLaren employee, until tomorrow following a preliminary hearing today.
Not only Mike Coughlan but also his wife Trudy is dragged into the spy-controverse. Trudy Coughlan would have taken the 780 page long Ferrari document to a copy shop near Woking. As earlier said, it was a staff member of the shop who tipped Ferrari when he saw that he documents were confidential and belonged to the Italian team. The lawyer of the Scuderia Ferrari said: "We would not have found out about it were it not from a tip-off by the photocopying agency."
The hearing today at the High Court in London also confirmed that McLaren's Managing Director Jonathan Neale was informed that Coughlan had the Ferrari documents, but it's not clear when and how Neale was informed. Ferrari said that there was no application for legal investigation against Neale, but declared that the team were in correspondence with him.
