Did Renault make the wrong decision?
After being defended by the team management in the beginning of the season, Nelson Piquet Jr. gets criticism of Renault's Sporting Manager, Steve Nielsen. As the young Brazilian has not scored a single point for the French outfit, Nielsen warns him to up his game.
Steve Nielsen: "He needs to start having more good bits than the bad bits, and he needs to start doing that as soon as he can. Formula one is a business, it's a very cutthroat business, and if people don't deliver, they go the obvious way."
Last season, Heikki Kovalainen got a lot of criticism of his team as he failed to deliver in his first races. After that, the young Finn was able to score quite some points for Renault and to outpace veteran Fisichella. Still Heikki had to make way for Nelson Piquet Jr., son of three times World Champion Nelson Piquet. Perhaps the wrong decision of Renault?
