There was this con-artist in Sweden many years ago who sold a magic "diet-powder" at 100 SEK (10 EUR) per 100 g bag, typically by small ads in the Sunday newspaper. After some considerable time, the department of health finally got a warrant to search his apartment and found a large number of 25 kg sacks of industrial fish-food from Iceland.

He was duly sent to jail of course, for fraud, tax-evasion, as well as breaching God knows how many food-related regulations.
Later on, when he was inteviewed from jail by the same Sunday newspaper, he showed all the fan-mail from desperatly dieting people hoping that he would take up the deliveries again as soon as he got out.

People in general just loves to be taken for a ride.

Haha. This thread got humorous in the last 12 hours. I'm glad you all enjoyed my idea so much. I'm gonna stay off autogyro for now lol. Point is that I put an idea out there and I got awesome feedback and went from reverse engineering an idea (still vaporware) to A fully formed idea in less than a week. Chris - many thanks for your input. I figured out the dampening issue. Diesel tech from my 1994 E 300 D provided me with the solution to that one lol. I figured out the gear linkage mechanism for the most part. I also figured of securing the planetary gears without sacrificing too much space or weight. I have a team of industrial engineers already (yea I'm 20 but my dad and uncle are well connected in the business and engineering world.) downforce, you have helped me out a good bit, too. I appreciate it alot. I'll keep you all updated as progress goes along. Patent should be filed before the end of the year. After it is successful, I will post the patent form from the US gov't patent office.

As for you autogyro. I'm sure you have an idea that I am missing. It's pretty inevitable. However, if you feel as if you can patent it, I would be glad to buy the idea off of you if it's worth buying. That is about a year or two down the road but since I am a straight-to-engineering kinda guy, the overhead would be low and your idea may be economically viable. It's pretty amazing how an idea can be taken from theory to business model so quickly.

For everyone else. If you have questions about something motor racing related, or maybe anything lol (the 'i don't get this, where the hell is minacciol?!?' scenario) then email me lol. I'm a motor racing outsider but I love problem solving, occasionally way outside of the defined box, and I figure that if there is a logical problem, I bet I can solve it or move understanding closer to what is needed to solve things.

Cirro. Would you mind deleting all the quotes of my idea inthis thread? Until it is protected I'm alittle nervous about having my ideas in an open space. Chris, I know your ideas are your own, but can you remove those too? I'm not demanding, but I would appreciate it greatly. Thanks a ton again.

Sorry all you guys for the heavy editing, it's the first time in my life I edit a person posts by request of another member and I won't do it again (unless another extraordinary thing happens). It has been quite a ride, I cannot wait to see how this thread continues, not next week, nor the following one, but in a dozen months or so.

MinacciolMotors, can you be so kind as to come back if (or if not) you get a solid patent? That would be a treat, it would make our site policies a little more... erm... trustworthy.

Also, could you explain to "the commons" like me what you think could be behind autogyro's concept? A drawing would be helpful and would attract more guesses.

BTW, hurry up, I'd said other people could come with the same idea, after reading autogyro's "specs" or "claims" or "clues" (it depends on who you ask: I'd go for "specs").

Interesting comments and I wish the poster well with his patent.
It certainly encouraged some thoughts outside the 'box' on transmission technology, which is one of the major areas of development for the future both in hybrids and all electric vehicle.

My ESERU does not actually need any form of gear selection mechanism.
