Unfortunately, this just means that there is no legal requirement on shopkeepers to use metric measurements. There is no reversion other than for a few select people who choose to do so.

It's typical tory distraction tactics on the day inflation rose and they voted to remove universal credit uplift.Big Tea wrote: ↑18 Sep 2021, 18:53It won't happen now. 10 or 15 years too late, the generations who grew up with it are all late 60's now.
The younger people grew up with metric and after that the imperia system makes no sense at all.
Possibly a couple of the 'names' such as pint could be re-introduced, but they never went away .
Would that be traditional as in Victorian!?

The media seems completely oblivious to the growing momentum towards a day of industrial action in the NHS over payStu wrote: ↑18 Sep 2021, 20:08I quite agree, smokescreen.jjn9128 wrote: ↑18 Sep 2021, 19:13Pints never went away anyway. Maybe for their next trick they will bring back hanging, Priti Patel is fairly famous as a supporter of that.
Go steady! You will go from heroes worthy of a round of applause in place of a pay rise to enemies of the state…adrianjordan wrote: ↑18 Sep 2021, 23:23Oh they're the masters of the smokescreen. On your final point, I think that makes it really easy to spot the Paedos, as nobody else could put forward such an argument .mclaren111 wrote: ↑19 Sep 2021, 10:24
Have to say I'm starting to support it myself lately as our societies are becoming more & more Barbaric...
Attempts to make Pedophilia a sexual orientation & not a crime deserves Hanging...

I would rather see such people confronted with the ‘Black Mirror’ replay method on a perpetual loop than hanged. Society would get far more from it.
