Lewis Hamilton led the Qatar Grand Prix from start to finish with Max Verstappen also soon settling into second place. The action mainly happened behind them where Alonso for instance returned to the podium after 7 years.
Now I see it again, the flutter is significantly reducing the front facing surface area/drag of the wing. Looked like they were altering the wing on both cars later in the session so perhaps they've been advised not to do it, or it was just an experiment?

This flapping thing was already seen at Brazil last weekend. So I doubt they are experimenting, when it's actually a thing. Unless what was seen last weekend was also during FP

If intentional they were trying to stall it?
But this has been going on for 3 weekends now... they are going to change them to non fluttery ones for the race... maybe Toto was on to some thing

But why is it so much more exaggerated on the Red Bull's?
Unbalanced movable surfice. At flying this phenomenon is not wanted. I do not understand why Adrian N. woul'd want this.
Except if it happens becouse of some funky mechanism that allows bigger opening with extreme excentric clamping of the wing.
As I looked a bit more into this what happens at flutter is BIG los of lift on the wing. Therefore drag also gets les and that would be benefitial for top speed of the car.

If flying were the language of man, soaring would be its poetry.

It appears that some people just cannot help themselves. We have had fake sound tracks, quotes from that famous F1 driver...Bruce Lee, comments about team principals etc etc....but nothing about the Qatar GP.. So, a number of posts have been removed. Please try to act like sensible adults and discuss the upcoming race with some civility. Thank you.
