Blue and pink can go together nicely, but I just don't think the Alpine livery is very cohesive. It just looks like random pink sections added to the car, instead of a styled design. The distinctive Tricolore motif of the 2021 car is lost, and is now apologetically small on the sharkfin.

It looks like it was designed by committee where this sponsor wanted this, that sponsor wanted that... E.g., Castrol didn't want a pink background on the rear wing endplate so a stripe of blue was added there, MAPFRE wanted a red background, BWT wanted a pink background on the sidepods etc. Which is almost certainly how it was actually 'designed'!

I have been wishing this since Alonso joined Mclaren -Honda. We all need just one last hurrah for him and debate around Great will be laid to rest.
I don't think there is a debate, everyone knows Alonso is an ace and always provides maximum attack. I think Red Bull erred by selecting Perez (well dithering between Perez and Albon in fact) instead of confirming Alonso before Alonso had the chance to sign for Renault Sport. But that is what it is, RBR's misstep is Alpine's gain. =D>

At least with Alpine he can race for wins if the car is capable. That would not have happened at RB. Man I hope this car surprises!!

Yes man, i do not care about livery. If car surprises and we are in top3 , everybody will fall in love with No:14 in pink. Yes he can make you fall in love with racing.

Why everyone call it conventional?

Look at the McLaren, except the pull rod.

But to be honest I’m disappointed as well but let’s see the car at first race

Livery is not beautiful though. Last year they had the most beautiful but slow car, let’s hope for the opposite this year
The McLaren is pretty conventional too, but both cars have some interesting things going on underneath. It's not necessarily a bad thing for either car in my opinion.
Yes let’s see.

For instance I’m glad that they stick to pushrod in front.

Pull rod may be nice but with all the challenges to make the new tyres work and so on, I prefer them to be conservative on that and push on engine an aero

Does that suspension change actually hurt tire knowledge?

Yep.

Pullrod is supposed to bring aero gain, but is much heavier, creates more stress and mainly got a much smaller exploitation window for tires

Given that we have new wheels/tires, it is a risk.

I would not be surprised if we see sometimes ultra fast Red Bull and McLaren and sometimes the same teams struggling a lot on other tracks
