Oh wow, that is quite violent!
I don't know what would feel in the car but 70 laps race, bumping on every straight like this don't think might be good for your body, brain, vision, etc...

Now it is only getting rid of the branding not getting rid of the sponsor. Like FC Schalke 04 in Germany does with Gazprom.

And what sponsor will pay the money to not advertise their branding?

I find it really silly and frankly frustrating that they would ban the hydraulic suspension systems with the introduction of ground effect. Have we learnt nothing from the past? The frustration comes from the fact that this problem is solvable and indeed has been solved already.

Something like FRIC or even a relatively simple mass damper, etc, could make these cars insanely fast, stable, and SAFE, but we’re hung up on this idea of ‘moveable aerodynamic devices’.

I suppose also cost - but what’s better? An extra $5 mill on the budget cap, or cars bouncing around so violently they’re literally shaking themselves to bits?

I expected the likes of Brawn to comes at new regs more holistically than this. I love everything about the cars so far, but if this porpoising issue persists across teams, across the season, it’s clear changes are necessary.

I think doing stuff at the suspension level isn't going to solve the fundamental issue. FRIC was banned after 2014 AFAIK, but generally having a problem, that in theory could be solved in other ways, solved via very expensive suspension systems isn't going to help the cost cap.

At the start they call it the "Pre season track session"

Are they really not calling it a test just because some people from Bahrain paid to have the pre season testing done at their circuit?

Man does F1 like to look stupid.

Bahrain must have bought the rights to the word testing just to really convince people what we are watching with our own eyes isn’t actually happening.

It’s hard for me to feel sympathy for the cost argument when F1 decides to switch the fundamental aero concept after 37 years and makes it a 23 race calendar. I can tell you inerters cost less to develop than either one of those.
