Was it Heidfeld mentioned in the same quote as being 1.5 seconds slower on the super softs after that many laps?blobslosak wrote:Brawn GP are the king of long stints though. The rest will struggle to match their race lap times. Apparently in practice Jenson's last lap on super softs was only 0.3s slower than his fastest in a 9 lap stint. Not sure which other cars can do that.
Whoever it was, I expect Alonso to slip down the pack in the first round of pit stops only to come back relatively strongly at the end.
Baring incident or anything else shaking up the order I think that the Brawns have the pace to win, with Red Bull keeping them honest. Hamilton should just about have the legs over Raikkonen with Trulli probably just edging Hamilton on pace. Alonso will probably end up mixing it in that group as well. Rosberg is likely to trouble the back of that group, but I can't see him getting higher than 8th unless something happens to jumble the order up a bit or we have retirements.
From Buemi back I don't think there's anyone in there who could challenge for points, again barring incident, retirements, etc.
Will be interesting to see who has the race pace and who was just all show in qualifying. Maybe Alonso will prove me wrong! If there is a safety car after his first stop then he could be in with a shout of a podium or maybe even higher depending on how other cars use their tyres. Maybe Flavio will press the 'crash' button on Piquets car when the time is right
