Was it Heidfeld mentioned in the same quote as being 1.5 seconds slower on the super softs after that many laps?

Whoever it was, I expect Alonso to slip down the pack in the first round of pit stops only to come back relatively strongly at the end.

Baring incident or anything else shaking up the order I think that the Brawns have the pace to win, with Red Bull keeping them honest. Hamilton should just about have the legs over Raikkonen with Trulli probably just edging Hamilton on pace. Alonso will probably end up mixing it in that group as well. Rosberg is likely to trouble the back of that group, but I can't see him getting higher than 8th unless something happens to jumble the order up a bit or we have retirements.

From Buemi back I don't think there's anyone in there who could challenge for points, again barring incident, retirements, etc.

Will be interesting to see who has the race pace and who was just all show in qualifying. Maybe Alonso will prove me wrong! If there is a safety car after his first stop then he could be in with a shout of a podium or maybe even higher depending on how other cars use their tyres. Maybe Flavio will press the 'crash' button on Piquets car when the time is right ;)

Yeah, that's the quote. Couldn't find it when I had a quick look before though. Pretty much agree with how you think the race will pan out. As you say, it will be especially interesting to see how Alonso's race pans out, we don't really know how fast that DDD Renault is yet.

the weights include the KERS right? So, this should be taken into account for the projected stops of Hami. Kovy & Hei?

605kg weight limit includes kers, all extra weight is fuel...

there seems to be no sign of the stewards looking at the kovy blocking in q2. I wonder if mclaren decided that it was better to have the red bull at the front maybe taking points off brawn...it did look like they could have protested if they had a mind to

Has anyone worked out the weight adjusted qualifying times rather than just laps of fuel - THAT would be really interesting.

Looks like the top three will come out of the pits on lap 10-13 to spend 10 laps mixed up with Kimi, Lewis & Buemi. Meanwhile the usual DDD suspects will have 6 to 8 laps in fresh air to steal the lead.

The real tension will be seeing if Rubens can hold off Jensen, and if Janno can exploit his extra lap or two steal the lead.

Will be nice to see a head to head between Kimi & Lewis ... and possibly Fernando?

I bet KIMI will feel the lack of KERS when Lou is starting from the clean side of the grid and/or stalking him around every corner.

Again, what the hell is Rosberg doing... another really strange strategy.

I dunno what you guy's are on about? there was no blocking, it was just the camera angle as those 2 where nowhere near hekki imo.

I thought it was really incredibly clear. After the long back straight the Redbull was just sat on the apex blocking Heikki for at least a second whilst he was on a flying lap. In fairness there was a car in front of the Red Bull that was blocking him, but as both those cars went into the pits after that then they shouldn't have been anywhere near the racing line and certainly not going so slowly through that penultimate corner.

Apparently the stewards didn't deem it even worth looking at?

I'm surprised they didnt get a penalty for being blocked(if it happened... I didnt catch it)... How dare they be blocked by other teams?!?!?

I guess RD stepping down is already paying dividends.

That would be interesting to see indeed. All you need to know is how much time you lose on a lap per added kg. Anyone ? Bueller ?
