He was definitely pushing, he waa 0.4 up on his best and clearly sent it into that turn lol
Merc have the worst strategy team on the grid, look how they are not getting temp into the tires, but they were the last to get out of the garage in q2, bunch of clowns in the Merc strategy team.GrizzleBoy wrote: β22 Apr 2022, 18:09Merc had both drivers sat in the garage for most of FP1 and I think it really showed the consequences here.
Any reason why Merc would've don't that in such a critical session?
There no reason for it to be scrapped, it was a single yellow flag, and he clearly lifted past the incident
he needs to rely on the team to do the right thing (take it easy, in this case). That's what I was referring to. Of course the crash itself was his own fault.
I thought that was in the rules now? That a faster time under yellow does not count? To avoid any incentive to push the limitsMchamilton wrote: β22 Apr 2022, 18:29There no reason for it to be scrapped, it was a single yellow flag, and he clearly lifted past the incident
Despite lifting he did a 30.5 in the last sector compared to a 30.6 in his previous lap. The question is if lifting for a blink of an eye is enough. Obviously the purpose of yellow flags is for other cars to be significantly slower there.Mchamilton wrote: β22 Apr 2022, 18:26He was 1.1 up before hand, so he gave up 0.4 so thats a decent lift
