BMW Sauber F1.09

mini rear wing in the middle.......very very odd. Wonder if the rear wing will stall.
i dont think it will, remember this was usual in early 2000's. but then in full width so i odntt hink it will stall, but i dont know anything about stalling, so someone might have to explain me that before i can go for a conclusion here

Can we expect smaller inlets?
Or just different shape due to more undercut in the sidepods?

I recon they have gone to more F1.08 style sidepods, as those were aero masterpices.

Im shure they have more aero advances, posibly a new frone wing and nosecone design as well.

The F1.09 pace can only get better.

Yeah - I didn't think they could make that car any uglier but by <insert deities name here> they've managed.

Congratulations to BMW Sauber. they have done the very imposible. Made a ugly car, even more repulsive.

If it works for times, my hat will come off if they improve significantly tho.

what the hell is that "thing" on the Rear wing? errrrhhggg

Please dont let this car be fast, its to offensive!

Ignoring the asthetics, how is it legal to put a wing onto another wing. Maybe is falls under the same interpritation as the the front wing winglets

My guess is that section of the rear wing is void of such restriction so as to allow the teams mounting points for the supports.

The rear wing has a pretty big gurney flap too.

Just checked the Tech Regs and there is an article:

3.10.2 Any bodywork behind a point lying 50mm forward of the rear wheel centre line which is more than 730mm
above the reference plane, and between 75mm and 355mm from the car centre line, must lie in an area
when viewed from the side of the car that is situated between the rear wheel centre line and a point
350mm behind it. When viewed from the side of the car, no longitudinal cross section may have more than
two closed sections in this area.

This allows a 150mm wide section that is not covered by the two-plane limit.

From MarioF1's images:

The area that isn't grey is where this may go.

Yo dawg we heard you like wings, so we put a wing on your wing so you can grip while you grip.

Wing supports seem to be inspired by Acura ARX2a and Audi R15.
