It’ll end in tears I’m absolutely sure of it. Fun for the neutrals but I can’t see those pairing helping the team if they turn out evenly matched. They will absolutely come together on track

It all depends on how fast the car is next year. The faster the car is, the bigger the chance for tears. It will always come down to Otmar. He has shown the inability to keep the drivers out of battles.

If you can keep the drivers on different tire strategies you can keep them from fighting each other.

"They're already, really, significantly up with next year's car,” said Permane, when asked about the progress of the team into 2023. “It's very good. It's very exciting.”

Two drivers who are rated similarly, both will be eager to lay claim to the #1 status. Both are at the "make or break" point of their career. Sounds like a recipe for fireworks to me. I am looking forward to it (and Ocon and Gasly updating their reputation to being crashers  )
Despite that Gasly is rumoured to be on €15m per season, compared to Ocon on €5m per season.

Perhaps the rumour is untrue? It doesn't seem to make sense.

Meanwhile Piastri not only lacks integrity and lacks loyalty, but is also cocky:
Verstappen, Russell and Leclerc accepted to race in smaller teams before joining the official team. It was a cocky attitude.
- Laurent Rossi

What a terrible driver! [Somehow, Rossi makes no mention of Verstappen, Russell or Leclerc's lack of sabbatical... Still waiting on the "Alpine fulfils all 2022 reserve & development driver contractual obligations" Free Practice 1 outings too...]

Pretty sure the FP1 outing is toast. It's gonna go to Doohan. Yes. It's their fault for not putting him under contract but Not sure why you're surprised that Alpine are pissed with him.

If Ocon continues to drive like he has this year, he'll make the money the following year.

Maybe this is wrong but seems like both cars will not have it at Mexico but instead reverse which driver has it. Quite nice of alpine considering I'd expect/be fine with them favouring the driver who is staying in terms of running new parts. Maybe in Alonso's contract to be treated as equally as possible

Did Ocon's car have a problem? anyone know? Alonso looks very fast. A shame about the engine penalty.

Next season Alpine will be a big circus with Gasly and Ocon.

Alpine have found something. They are miles clear of the midfield now. This is how the season should have started. Alonso had those epic qualys in Canada and Australia. The pace was probably there. The car was just unreliable.

Aston Martin and McLaren are faster here in Qualifying.

Alonso was miles quicker in both Q1 and Q2.

Stroll and Norris managed to improve a lot on their fresh tyre Q3 run. Alonso improved but not as much as the others. Sector 3 on his fresh tyre run, was not his best. He gave away 2-3 tenths there.
