Max has checked out already. Super from Checo.
No idea what this means, but I'd say if anything it's advantage Mercedes right now..

Max trying to extend this as long as possible. Overtaking looks difficult.

Russell needs to bring the pressure onto Perez to ensure Red Bull can't execute their preferred race strategy.

Just wait until max decides to get the hammer down. He’s just managing the soft.
Mess with the Bull - you get the horns.

Which is interesting considering the high downforce packages they're running.

I guess the low air density makes it all less effective.

Perez has reported low deg and the clouds have covered the sun. Good for merc. 42.6 down from around 46.5 at lights out

Kind of akin to why Monza is also difficult as their rear wings are so small the difference between DRS and not, is slim.

GP encouraging Max to break the tow. Seems the tow is substantial here despite the low drag. Ham is setting great sector 1s

Mercedes looks faster. Perez now falling back and ham is just sitting pretty at 1.5s.

The grid is more or less in order of relative team performance, I think this will be a fairly processional race. I can't see Merc getting anywhere near Verstappen, if anything I'd imagine Perez will jump them later in the race for an RB 1-2.
