Yeah this doesn't look over to me. Merc are always good on harder tyres!

Does feel a bit like Hamilton's strategy was a sacrifice to stay in front of Perez whilst still one stopping. Just have to hope it comes good

they're on completely different strategies unless rb are running this tyre to the end, but i dont think they'll try

Starting on harder tyres and going long almost never works because you lose track position. Generally the better strategy is a fast and short first stint where you build a gap and then pit in to free air.

GR is going to be very far behind when he finally pits.

Max pit on lap 26. Are you saying the mediums on his car are going to go 45 laps? Or that he gains about 10-15 seconds on the soft tyres at the end to make the overtake.

All I'm saying is I don't think this is a slam dunk. No need to allow your bias to cloud judgment.

GP said to max soft tyre wear was of "no concern" and to not be afraid of pushing the mediums harder to get them back into a good window if they lose tyre temperature. Seems like the tyres have really low wear?
