He only really won early on because Maxs RB had reliability issues, but even then, every time the car was able to finish a race, it ended up P1.

Not true at all. The two races Max DNFed he was on P2 without any chance of winning these.

The two times he DNFd early on and didn't win, was due to his car being broken.

Then when the car could finish races, it started to win the races.
