I feel quite dirty visiting the site,

https://thejudge13.com/2022/12/31/opini ... -for-2023/

But I haven’t seen much discussion on these changes

Tyre allocation is also set to change as teams will be allocated 11 tyres down from 13 for the entire weekend. There will be just four sets of soft tyre down from 8 but an extra medium and hard tyre in the allocation.

During qualifying too it is mandated the drivers use the hard tyre in Q1, the medium in Q2 and the soft tyre in Q3.
It has gone stupid now. There seem to be teams of people there who's only job is to make new rules

Imagine running around on hard tires on a drying track in Q1. F1 has completely lost it's way.

Watch almost the other teams try and stop them. Won’t want to share the prize funds.

More the merrier in my opinion.

BTW Cadillac means GM, Andretti now has extremely solid backing, it will be harder to keep him out.

GM and Honda compete in Indycar. I'm very confused why anyone thinks they will partner in F1.

To date, their only commercial partnership has been electric vehicle related and it's very much an under the table relationship.

Ilmor build GMs Chevy badged V6Ts for Indycar. If GM are serious why wouldn’t they ask Ilmor to build them an F1 engine? Mario has said he just needs a partner with lots of cash, they are rumoured to have a running F1 spec engine they tinker with at the factory. Andretti, GM and Ilmor sounds great.

That's certainly possible. I was only pointing out that it's absolutely wild that people think GM and Honda would collaborate on a scene with this much attention. It's a massive conflict of interest.

“I think the process in 2022 with the FIA and the other manufacturers was quite good. At least it was transparent, so everyone knew about each other’s requests, and that’s very good,” he said, as per Motorsport-Total.com.

“In 2022 it was quite tolerant. I think that was quite normal because everyone was affected by reliability issues. I think we had 30, 40, 50, 60, 70 requests from different manufacturers, so everyone was affected by this type of problem.”

Famin, who used to work at the FIA, did however, expect the sport’s governing body to be more strict as the seasons go on.

“I expect the FIA to be a bit stricter in the future, but I don’t have any information,” the Renault man said.

“What is a pure reliability issue? That’s a question we can’t answer because the reliability issue often hides a potential performance gain.

“If you have a problem with the water pump, like we had in 2022, it’s clearly a pure reliability problem: there’s no point in using a different water pump.
“But if you have to change the material of the piston rings to have something stronger, to have more power, where is the limit? It’s not obvious.”
