I think Vettel who speaks his thoughts openly is more real than many drivers who speaks for what they've been told. Alonso vs. Hamilton was great drama. it was really fun and thats because Alonso refused to be treated like a fool and spoke out the politics behind Mclaren. But Massa vs. Hamilton, not really fun coz they are like robots... "Affirmative, I will comply"

I personally doubt Vettel would complaint if he had 2-stops. He had already conceived that he made the mistake in first lap and so to complaint about 2-stop would be ridiculous.
Alonso did nothin but make excuses for his inability to outrace a rookie and blame it on the team. It was not politics that made Alonso use his car as a lawnmower in Canada or a pinball in Japan. Alonso could have been in a championship level car last year, but it is more important for him to be the number 1 driver than to have a good car under him. HAmilton & Massa speak their mind... its just that their minds arent full of --- like Alonso's is. We've heard Alonso bad mouth every team & nearly every teammate he's ever had.

Speaking your mind is not a bad thing, unless you are speaking out of turn like Alonso usually does or Vettle is doing in this case.

Webber raced his strategy better than Vettle did today, point blank period.

ummm nope

only Heikki & FA started on the softs and i didnt work out very well for either.

I was surprised to see lewis 1 stop and make the softs last 26 laps to finish ahead of his teammate. Maybe HK had some damage with the possible contact with Rubans

Speaking of Alonso, he complaints a lot but without him, Ferrari would not have gotten their justice. it is a good thing that he spoke out and I never think that he is over the top. The only driver I find who is always over the top is Webber but seems like u don't have a problem with him talking.

So overall, loosing out to 3rd place is not really my point here. My point is that drivers should speak out and you telling him to STFU sounds just like the team manager.

Button has still a long way to go. MS got 11 out of first 12 in 2004.

does anyone actually have any stats on turn 8? i saw a graphic during the race on apex speed and JB was fastest with vettel and webber behind. That can be a indication how redbull perform to brawn at silverstone.

I personally thought JB and brawn did there homework and took redbulls advantage away from them (or minimised it) in turn 8/fast corners.
JB before the race said he and his engineers were studying the track/car and they dnt see what all the press etc are seeing in saying turkey is a fast circuit and will suit redbull and brawn be on their backfoot. He was spot on saying he only sees 1 corner where he believes the brawn cannot POSSIBLY make up lost time -that was turn 8. All the way around the circuit he said he can match/beat redbull.
I thought that was a good analysis by JB even though all others were saying "its a fast circuit with fast corners redbull will be to strong for brawn"

seems the updates brawn have brought have helped in close the advantage redbull still have. Or maybe we see redbull blow everyone away in silverstone?

I fought to stay awake during the Turkish Brawn Procession.

YES, there was some good racing throughout the field. But the SPEED announcers predicted that Button (correct) would win with Vettel second (close).

Unfortunately for F1, they made that prediction on LAP TWO.Races like this make me not care whether FOTA or Max win -- next year can't have less competition at the front than this year. It can't get worse. Can it?

Kimi out of F1 next year?

Those first couple laps were especially exciting, maybe the banning of refueling will bring some of the late race excitiement back into the race. There were some really great battle farther back in the field.

The SpeedTV announcers were way off this race, especially Steve Matchett, he was way off target with the estimated first pit stops(he thought Vettle was coming in on lap 19 when it was obvious by fuel load that 14 or 5 was his max), and MAtchett couldnt figure out that Vettle was 3 stopping until his socond stop when he didnt put the green ons, when it was obvious as early as his first stop, maybe earlier.

It would be nice if the second BGP driver could give JB more competition, but its clear BGP have done their homework and bested the field... would you have liked if the DDD was banned and then the racing would certainly have been closer this year.

And did you complain similarly when FErrari was dominating the field not too long ago?

Interesting to hear that the RB is very aero sensitive in the wake of the car in front. That very efficient rear wing doesn't like a turbulent airflow, RB will need to fuel light to get pole again to stand a chance of a win in the race.

funny enough his only chance might be a 3 stopper at a place like germany or japan, but he would have to be mistake free, and RB has not been that this year

Will Brawn match McLarens great season -- winning all but ONE race?
