It’s strange, because they have trouble switching the tires on for a single lap.
They’ve always been strong in Hungary in recent years.

Never even thought about the tire warmer aspect of this. This session really was a great advert for a rule change
Any idea why there is a power drop on the 8th to 10th corner for Max?
Low track temps, smooth tarmac, medium to high DF level track and ... running much lower the car, after the trials they did in FP1 when HAM reported bouncing/bottoming and was sparking all over the place
There is no power drop. The throttle trace show's that he lifted (corner 9-10).
Sorry, it's not 8 to 10th, I meant 6th to 8th corner, which is just a straight. You see there is a drop and I don't see any lift on throttle.AR3-GP wrote: ↑01 Apr 2023, 09:06There is no power drop. The throttle trace show's that he lifted (corner 9-10).
If you are referring to the bump in the speed trace before T9...well that's the RB DRS system, launching Max into orbit
Oh okay I see. edit: I don't know. Maybe Merc has different deployment.mendis wrote: ↑01 Apr 2023, 09:08Sorry, it's not 8 to 10th, I meant 6th to 8th corner, which is just a straight. You see there is a drop and I don't see any lift on throttle.
I checked the telemetry and Max definitely did not have full power on his last run. I compared an early run from Q1 (white line) to his Q3 lap (blue line) and you can see that he lost power in Q3. Down 3-4km/h on the main straight, and down 3-4 km/h on the run to Turn 9, and the run to T11. The lap was saved because he was just so much quicker in the corners, and even then didn't manage to have a higher top speed because of the deployment problem.
Does max ever have a quali or race without some sort of issue? He’s beginning to sound like Hamilton and his tyre woes
