Well based on the previous timings, both Alpines would have been in the points which would have been even more strange given they were both a pile of parts at turn 2!
It's convention that on a red flag countback, broken cars are awarded the result from their position from the previous lap.
it was, years ago, but I didn't think it still existed. After the big crash of Grosjean in Bahrain (?) they sorted cars based on the last mini-sector order, at least.
Edit: here are the current rules, from the 2023 sporting regulations:
"In all cases the order will be taken at the last point at which it was possible to determine the position of all cars. All such cars will then be permitted to resume the sprint session or the race."
So imo the one they finished with is clearly incorrect.
