To my understanding, from what i am reading, rules suggest that after a race start (or restart after a red flag in our case) if NO driver completes a Sector (not mini sector) before a red flag, the order is reverted back to the starting order. Haven't read the rule with my own eyes yet, but that's what people are saying.search wrote: ↑02 Apr 2023, 10:57I think back then it was like today, while in Bahrain (when Grosjean crashed) they used the mini sector to set the order for the restart. No idea why there was a difference. From the wording of the rules, using the mini sector would make more sense.BlueCheetah66 wrote: ↑02 Apr 2023, 10:45Does anyone remember in the Silverstone case whether it was because they didn't reach a mini sector or an entire sector?search wrote: ↑02 Apr 2023, 10:40
the live timing replay is available now. Everyone made it to minisector #2, so as far as I can see, this should have been the restart order then (minus crashed cars):

so Hülkenberg ahead of Norris, and Tsunoda ahead of PIA and ZHO
And would put both AMRs out of points, playing in favor of Ferrari (and Mercedes).
Yeah I question the 5s penalty. If you effectively negate what happened by putting Alonso back up then why penalize Sainz race? Give him a penalty point instead? Hard to say i guess.
And Sargent got away completely free from any penalty, yet he careered into the bad of another car.
