This is what just happened, you apparently missed it:

I didn’t miss anything. He clipped the barrier T15, and then drove into the wall on the finishing line. The RB has been the best car in S3, and he was bailed out by the straight line speed advantage.

This is a technical forum so you are going to get people who are capable of using telemetry so you can't just make up facts without expecting them to be verified.

RB don't have an advantage on the straights here this weekend: https://www.f1-tempo.com/. There is not more than 1 km/h difference in top speeds between RB and AM with AM being ahead by 1km/h in one straight, and RB leading by 1km/h in another. Virtually indiscernible.

Straight line speed advantage != higher top speed. Being a technical forum, watch the side by side lap comparison with telemetry.

Ver and Ocon were the luckiest of the bunch at T13 and it showed. Some others were not, as is the case each year at Monaco.

It doesn’t tell us that at all. Huge Alonso fan here by the way.
It’s already been mentioned loads that this track doesn’t suit the RB19 at all relative to other circuits. So he had to wring the neck of the car to get that lap time out of it. If you followed the sessions you can clearly see the usual gap just not being there. I would say 9 out of 10 times that was ALOs pole.

Monaco '88 for a start. May not be a last corner nail biter like today, but by Jiminy it was a great performance by Senna.

I think Ocon doesn't need much rain to win this. Verstappen and Alonso colliding in turn 1 would probably be enough.

Panis started from 14th back then, so that was a bit of a different story.
