When was the last time Alonso made a dumb move on lap 1?
Yes, that was a stunning lap.atanatizante wrote: ↑28 May 2023, 11:59Or maybe the 2012 pole of an 43 old rusty Schumi who set it on an 5th/6th fastest car that year rather than the fastest one Senna have had that day, don't you think?Just_a_fan wrote: ↑27 May 2023, 17:36Monaco '88 for a start. May not be a last corner nail biter like today, but by Jiminy it was a great performance by Senna.
How is traction out of slow corner related to wing?atanatizante wrote: ↑28 May 2023, 13:17Nothing to take away from Max but we need to face the fact that here RB19 has a new rear wing which sports the highest load/AoA flap from all the cars hence the best traction out of slow corners as telemetry data show us.... another fact is their top speed is lower this time around being in line with AMR23 one...
It might not be Alonso making a dumb move. A dumb bit of defending could bring the same outcome. Or even someone from behind "doing a Bottas".
yeah, what I meant to say is more that I see a good chance for Ocon to stay in 3rd. And from that position you always have a shot to win as well. Unlike when starting from 14th.Just_a_fan wrote: ↑28 May 2023, 13:20It might not be Alonso making a dumb move. A dumb bit of defending could bring the same outcome. All through the years that I have watched F1, I have never seen a harakiri move by any of the top 3 or 4 drivers at Monaco with such a short run to the first corner and a run off to right to help. Usually, drivers accept the fate on Saturday. It's only midfield and backmarkers that are a bit overzealous. 2022 and 23 batches seems to be most well behaved grids for an opening lap in my memory.Just_a_fan wrote: ↑28 May 2023, 13:20It might not be Alonso making a dumb move. Start on hards and hope for late rain or late red flag
