The draconian penalty catching up with RB.

Wonder why Mercedes can develop B spec cars, when other manufactures struggle to get even basic upgrades on the car. /s
They know what to do. They don't just become 8xWCC overnight

I believe the new wet tyres could be another dud from pirelli. They were terrible at Monaco even when drivers were sliding off track on inters
Even if true it probably doesn't really matter as race most likely will be red flagged anyway if they were in a position to use them. F1 loves red flags!

RBR sand bagging to head off possible action by FIA/FOM?

Look, look we might not win every race till 2026… :D

That would be dumb... They already are head and shoulders above, more likely they have more potential still in the car to unlock

as mentioned yesterday, already after one lap in FP1 Marko said that they didn't expect the track to be this bumpy at all. So I think it's fair to assume that Red Bull's base setup was far from perfect for those track conditions.

So there's most likely room for improvement, but the rain could make things a bit difficult now.

I'm the opposite. I'd much rather a dry qualifying to get a better picture of the grid, and see what each car is capable of. I'll take an ever-changing conditions race though!
