I think a worry for RB will be Perez overcooking his tires behind other cars. It will be very easy to do here.
I think an interesting approach if you just assume out of the gate that Perez needs a tyre offset would be to start him on the hards and then you get two medium stints to attack McLaren's who only have hards for the rest of the race

But hards for the first stint is always a bit risky. Probably just mediums and hope that he doesn't cook his tyres attacking Charles who will defend very intelligently

If I were Perez, I will be very worried getting RedBull seat for next year. he made too many mistakes today.

Yes, time to fire Sergio Perez. This is Kyvat at the Russian GP level of incompetence.

Embarrassing from Perez. Shame as the car had pace for the 1-2

He might cost RB winning the championship today.

Well, the move to confirm Tsu and Ric for next year was not and will never be on merit as Lawson is the better choice on both. IF one thinks about it, one will realize this is only because and towards Perez. Marco is just keeping the option to promote Ric to RedBull and get Lawson in the AT. By throwing out one of the AT drivers, he looses this option.

What's the deal with Perez sitting in his car after he's retired?

Something about avoiding a grid penalty for the next race ? Everybody is confused or it is the ultimate humiliation.

Kinda fitting to seal WCC by Verstappen winning and Perez crashing out.

A grid penalty for what? I ask because so many things happened involving him this race that I'm not sure which incident it is.

If that's the case then he definitely should still get the grid penalty. They took the steering wheel off and he got out the car. Getting back in and putting the steering wheel on while inside your put garage seems pretty much a slam dunk retirement to me

I think the final 5s penalty was for impeding Norris

Ah.

Considering what Norris got an unsportsmanlike penalty for this season then this must be worse.

Whether he is considered "retired" or not he could at the very least get grid penalties for that.

Timing screens put him up as +26 laps when he rejoined, so not retired until race is completely over.
