Considering what Norris got an unsportsmanlike penalty for this season then this must be worse.
Whether he is considered "retired" or not he could at the very least get grid penalties for that.
Well yes, of course, to serve those penalties in pitlane. You didn't watch the racetrinidefender wrote: ↑24 Sep 2023, 09:20Did they actually send him back out on track?Juzh wrote: ↑24 Sep 2023, 09:15Timing screens put him up as +26 laps when he rejoined, so not retired until race is completely over.trinidefender wrote: ↑24 Sep 2023, 09:01

Some of it. Wasn't able to watch all.Juzh wrote: ↑24 Sep 2023, 09:22Well yes, of course, to serve those penalties in pitlane. You didn't watch the race
Perez had broken right steering rod and was going very slow. Norris didn't want to overtake him initially as it was still VSC, then perez really slowed down to make it obvious he's letting him go, but because he wasn't able to steer properly in left handers he just went straight in spoon and almost took norris out.trinidefender wrote: ↑24 Sep 2023, 09:47Some of it. I missed the incident of Perez holding up Norris and him going back out on track.
For those that saw it. Did what he did to Norris look intentional or was it a case of confusion on track?
I don't think it will and should be closed. Every team should have the right to try to fix a car and get out again. Would be unfair if you can not serve your penalty because you were a few laps in the pit.
Imho that is not a loophole. If you can’t serve your penalty in this race, then it is a grid drop in the next. But Checo could serve it.

I do have a question, it showed Checo was 6 laps behind, but wasn’t it much more? Is that somekind of limit? Or am I just mistaken and was it “only” 6 laps.

THe damage he has done to the team by consistently revealing their floor designs alone would make it grounds to fire him, imo. The piss poor performance he's been having would just be the final nail in the coffin.chrisc90 wrote: ↑24 Sep 2023, 09:20Surely checo must have some performance clause in his contract they can use.
He literally is in the fastest car and wants to make rush overtakes. Half a lap or a lap isn’t going to make a huge difference to the overall race on lap 2-5 or whatever his rampage went on.
