The forecast for Qatar is hot and humid. They've also recently resurfaced the entire track and changed kerbs. These two factors seemingly played a large role in throwing the team and setup off @ Singapore.

It's also a sprint weekend at Qatar to make matters worse.

This will be a true test
I think there are a lot of mitigating factors to bail them out here, compared to Singapore.

The first is the longer DRS zone and the second is the gnerally higher speeds that should make insufficient tire temperatures not an issue. Basically there's margin for them to have an average setup day, and still be competitive.

It’s the gearbox shift issues that apparently were caused by hot/humidity combo

I am thinking this medium-high speed corners with the long main straight should really suit Red Bull. This car is aerodynamically really efficient, just look at Spa this year.

Max seems to agree that it suits the car
"How do you estimate your chances of winning at Qatar?”

Max: “Normally we would be really quick here, but it’s a sprint weekend, and we only have 1 free practice.. So, we have to make sure we’re up to speed right away, and get the car-setup in the right window. This circuit should suit our car, so hopefully we have a good weekend.”

Red Bull starts with different load on front wing, Max Verstappen always more unloaded than Checo Perez. Aston Martin at start is choosing medium-high (not maximum) load wing.
Very dirty track, temperatures slightly lower than yesterday

Honestly, every car looks awful to drive. And Max just set the top time.

To be honest it looks quite good again. Soft tire run had great balance. The medium and hard tire long runs will just be about managing the front tire temps. GP suggested more lift and coast. I imagine RB will try and avoid the hard tire if they can. No grip.

Lewis starts P3 behind his teammate and the direct challengers for the podium apart from the Mercs are probably Piastri and Lando starting p6 and p10 respectively. So in all likelihood Lewis will gain 18pts on Sunday. Checo would do well to get to p5 but I can't see it happening on pure pace.

P2 in the championship is fading quickly

The grid is sorted out via the sprint race.

Its not looking good for Checo. He just cant perform.

They changed the format of sprints significantly for this season: the sprint race doesn't change anything about sunday's grid

we have sprint quali for tomorrow quali grid and now sprint is completely independent - it is just for a small amount of points. Max starts P1 for Sunday's race and Checo starts P13.
