Recent precedent suggests Perez may face a pitlane start and a potential 10-second race time penalty.

One thing I had forgotten is that SC fest in the sprint neutralized any ERS advantage RB may have. You can recharge without penalty during the safety cars.

Pitlane start so might aswell take your penalties.

Somehow I dont think the PU and components is the hindrance for Perez at the moment,
Mess with the Bull - you get the horns.

Tbh I don't think there is an ERS advantage anymore. Seems Merc and Ferrari have advanced in that regard over the last 6 months

According to Kravitz, RB pit crew did a "1.8 s" pitstop in practice. I'm guessing that's a "1.8X s" rather than "1.80 s"

Max celebrating his third championship with another solid victory.

He controlled the race perfectly, good start, good restart, kept the proper pace, did the fastest lap at the end. Flawless. Red Bull is usually too conservative with pitstops as they wait the other teams to do their calls first.

Very bad perfomance from Perez. I thought he was behind this bad run but there is something deeper. He is lucky Hamilton did a terrible move on first turn.

Only real worry is that McLaren were very quick again. They were probably the quicker car unless Max had a lot of pace in reserve - in clear air Lando lapped ~3 tenths quicker than Max on average

Great job by Verstappen and the Red Bull - Honda team!

I don't think that was one of Sergio Perez's finest drives, barely scoring a point (not scoring a point) while the other car dominates the race. :( Another 5-second penalty makes it three, if I'm not mistaken.

Should RBR consider bringing Ricciardo to RBR and Lawson to SAT, or should they be patient and wait for Sergio Perez's fine form to return, which it no doubt will? :?:
