This forum contains threads to discuss teams themselves. Anything not technical about the cars, including restructuring, performances etc belongs here.
So in all of their time in the Sport, Mercedes have always had a F1 world champ in their driver line up. Vettel return?
Ferrari is so full of politics I think it would be hard for Ferrari to not favour Lecerc, he’s their boy. Lewis knows that and I don’t think he’d bother going there.
It’s done. Don’t blame him. Merc have fallen away, and now it’s just about gambling and ticking off driving for Ferrari in his career.
Might be best of both worlds. Gets a go with Allison’s concept this year, who knows how competitive that will be, and then Ferrari look a promising bet in 25’ given their recruitment.
Incredible news. Do fear Max walking this year again, and everyone just waiting for 25’. Where does this leave Merc and Russell? Interesting to see how they deal with this, and phasing Lewis out. Antonelli is young, even in 25’, would be a huge risk.
Sources have told BBC Sport that all Mercedes team members have been called to a team briefing with boss Toto Wolff and technical director James Allison at 14:00 GMT on Thursday. This is likely to be to announce Hamilton is leaving.
Mark Hughes/BBC wouldn't post without done deal imo
On greater speculation - wonder where that leaves Mercedes as a team and obviously Toto’s position.
I have to think how much value LH brings to Mercedes and the F1 team as a whole (probably most on the grid quite easily)
I do wonder how much value a move to Ferrari would knock off the team. Would Toto consider leaving/selling up before loses a lot of money?

Apparently announcement today
Yeah, done deal it would seem. Just giving space like the BOT to Sauber deal or VET to Ferrari deal for other things to align. Prob waiting for SAI to announce out of respect
Fascinating, and too bad we have to wait a whole year to see Lewis in red. I am not his greatest fan but gutsy move. On the other hand, great way to keep yourself motivated for a couple more years.
