Or change the red flag rules, and allow only for changes to the same tire hardness. But that would require extra sets.

There is precedence for requiring extra pit stops.

If it’s a rule, teams will need to manage their tire allocation better, or risk being put at risk in a rare but possible situation

Big one for LEC! no win today would've been quite the psychological blow

If they give him a decent car I can see multiple wins for him around Monaco

I monitored the telemetry and came to the conclusion that Merc was the fastest in the chicane of turns 10 and 11, as well as in 12 Tabac, and constantly, there Verstappen lost up to five tenths on each lap, plus Merc was also very good in acceleration, or it’s an engine or good traction

Perez couldn't have bombed the weekend any worse. Out in Q1 and DNF.

If it was really all about winning , Sainz would already have a contract at Red Bull.

Everyone was managing delta’s and backing up people so much, it’s really hard to say what was what. We didn’t even get spicy outlaps / inlaps today. When people are circulating 3-5s a lap slower than qualifying, the pace is all in whatever strategy they’re doing.

Qualifying was the true showing of performance here.

I've always thought these cars on this track need a mandatory stop and a mandatory drive through to actually turn it into somewhat of a race.

I wouldn’t say so, the second part of the race was quite revealing, it seemed to me that the Merc had very good grip, chicanes 10 and 11 are an indicator, there the Merc improved especially well

No one was pushing, not first not last, they were 2+s off optimal pace to make the tires last.

If the season remains like this the championship in both ends is still wide open McLaren and Ferrari have seriously upped their sh*t

Checo needs to score points consistently. Max would not be able to win the constructors' Championship for Red Bull on his own. Both drivers for McLaren and Ferrari are doing a great job but for Red Bull, Checo ain't doing enough.

Everyone lumping that all on Magnussen... he's not blameless but the on-board of perez show him basically driving in his right hand mirror. He knew Kevin was there and said "you lift or we crash". It takes two to crash in such a stupid way and Checo should put his hand up, even if privately within the team, and say "that was dumb, I'm sorry."

Ocon on the other hand... what a guy.

I would wait a couple more races before drawing that conclusion. Max’s first stint in Imola was convincingly the fastest, and the second stint was more of an outlier given that he was having issues with getting the hards into the window. He was also comfortably the fastest in Sector 1 here in Monaco, where they were not limited by the stiffness of the car. On more normal, fast flowing tracks those issues will likely be gone and we could then be looking at a 15 second win again. Hope I’m wrong of course, but I wouldn’t get the hopes up just yet.
