you dont think RBR saying they have brought the wrong wing to the race is evidence that something is wrong?

When will people learn

Don't read pace after FP2
Don't listen to a press who'll leap on to clickbait disguised as a legitimate headline
Don't listen to Helmut Marko.
Don't ignore previous form where RB magically find time in Q
Red Bull gets downplayed so much, people do treat it like a Sauber. The Red Bull is still quick, and always going to be. He even had a yellow sector 2 on his last lap.
well, he wasn't much quicker than the Haas or VCARB, and finished behind an Alpine. Verstappen wasn't any fast. Not yesterday, and today neither. It's McLaren who went backwards.

But well, I guess they had to make some changes after the massive graining in FP2. Although I didn't expect them to suffer this much from it.

It was yellow because he matched his previous lap and was a hair slower, not that he made a mistake.
But, when everyone else was improving on sectors, being slower must be classed as an error somewhere. The track had improved.

well, Verstappen wasn't any quick, really. Problem is that McLaren was even worse today.
He wasn't slow and he was quicker than us

Anyway, point is, nonsense spouted after FP2 is exactly that. Nonsense
Take my word, both McLarens are going to easy DRS pass Verstappen tomorrow, the Redbull's real weakness isn't exposed in those Q runs. The RB20 is eating rear tyres, and McLaren have a huge tyre advantage and can maintain long run pace for really long.
Depends they can get any water in the tyre.

I'd be surprised if the Mclarens get passed the Red Bull at all.

I'd be surprised if Max doesn't shunt Lando on lap 1 to be honest.

I’m very interested to hear what the team say.
This is a unique track but this is the first time McLaren haven’t contended for pole since Barcelona.
I suspect they got something wrong? They, especially Norris hasn’t shown any indications of being this slow all weekend

The points were about Qualy pace, but I also don't think it's quite as easy as you suggest to get past max.

As for Race pace, we'll find out tomorrow.

That will depend on if Mclaren can get through their front graining….

I hope that part with the water in the tyre is a joke. You have to say also about the mini-DRS and you are like all the other haters trying to find an answer why McLaren is back on top.
Maybe this time Mercedes put some water and from a dead team fought for first line in Vegas. C'mon, F1 is about something elese, not only tricks and cheating.

Coming back to the qualy, I also think McLaren did some changes to the car (and if I'm not wrong to the FW) in order to improve the race pace. So like I said, I prefer starting P6 and fight for P1 vs vice-versa. I know all we want Pole, FL and Race Win, but 2024 is not about this.

And one more thing, if we are frustrated about the qualyi how Ferrari should be when they were expecting to lock front row before arriving in Vegas?

I'm sure I've read here, the mention of Mercedes on low grip tracks. Seems to be a theme, so no shock they were flying here. Race pace will be interesting.

I dont expect a Mclaren battle for a win, and think this will be a Ferrari 1 and 2.

I'm really not a hater.

The water thing was tongue in cheek.

I do think the Baku wing though, would have been a benefit here though.

Waiting for telemetry to be uploaded on f1tempo to see if he made a mistake or not, from onboards it looked clean.
The cheapest sort of pride is national pride, every miserable fool who has nothing at all of which he can be proud adopts, as a last resource, pride in the nation to which he belongs; thus reimbursing himself for his own inferiority.

The wind picked up. That generally is a good change up for the cars.

May well have been clean, but it's a surprise if everyone else is going faster, he isn't. Seems odd.

I also find it strange who many are saying the RB have the wrong wing. Like they've unpacked after holiday and realised they gave the wrong trunks or something.

It remains to be hoped that the team has focused on racing pace, after all the adventures with the tires during training. Also, do not forget that McLaren has the highest mileage of power units than anyone else in the team.

Lando "It's not tyres, it's not 'cause they're too hot or too cold, or all this nonsense. Or the water. It's just our car doesn't suit these conditions."

I thought the wind wasn’t a weakness of this Mclaren though?
