I think the discussion about Sainz's actions is getting a bit much now. Nothing can be done to change it, Sainz has always been like this and won't suddenly change in these last couple of races.

Have to say I am worried about Qatar - this will be the biggest test of the new parts yet to see the behavior on a purely high speed corner track basically.

The car usually needs some time to get the tires into competitive temperature, likely to experience logistic offset from the other teams norm.

Seems finely balanced over a stint if space available to bring those tires in, but possibly "bullied" out of position in some race phases.

Both drove them straight into a graining "hole" in Vegas with target in front and pressure from behind. Absolutely need a front row to get maximum option.

And the car needs a minimum speed to stay in the right temperature window. Slowing down could let the tires slip out of this window. Detrimental in the cold Vegas…

According to AR, Leclerc will be testing the experimental floor in Qatar's only FP session. Ferrari didn't intend to use it again, but after seeing good correlation and receiving Sainz's positive review, they decided to try it on car 16 too. An extremely aggressive approach to the weekend given the limited practice time available...

One of Sainz's points was that the floor gave him more confidence. Hopefully Leclerc feels the same way, as it's been a few weeks now where he's been uncomfortable with the car.

Good news, but why did they change this in Vegas after FP1 if the feedback is good?

I guess maybe they needed to do additional tests in Maranello to see if everything was as expected before committing to using it again.

I'm not sure there would be enough time, especially since they work with more advanced versions at the base.
Maybe the answer is simpler because it was Carlos, not Charles.

No matter the result this weekend, the improvement from last year is remarkable. It's a completely different car , the drivers look very comfortable as of now.

SAI has been better in colder conditions when it comes to push laps all season long

Well i like what i see
The only thing that is alarming is that they used the hard and the others the medium, the hard looks much better in terms of saving it for the race.

Is Leclerc going to end up racing the new floor or will he revert to the previous spec? It looks like a pretty significant step forward, but FP isn't exactly representative of course.

don't corlos has contract that says they need to be treated equal with equal parts? maybe that's preventing from giving the update only to Charles
