Charles really struggled in SQ2 with front tyre temps. Hopefully SQ3 goes better.

This small tyre window has been a problem since the start of the season, crazy.

Anytime Sainz does better, the plethora of excuses come out for Leclerc...

That's a bit ---.

Track temps drop and we are nowhere, both drivers complained about understeer on their final runs. I hope 2025 can fix this issue because it is just plain annoying at this point.

Bad quali again, bad prep for this weekend. We are experimenting too much.
Too much understeer

The drivers were only 0.027 apart. I think they were on low fuel loads earlier, plus track temp dropping and soft tires may have made things more difficult.

Honestly we're much closer to pole than I expected coming into the weekend, so...

Anyways, we knew this would be a tough track though and McLaren would be stronger. Points are tomorrow, let's hope they can make up ground there.

Another statement from Sainz, not getting the upgrades but still putting it ahead.

I don't think it was really an upgrade if they only decide 30 minutes before SQ to put it on. Still, credit where credit is due.

Bad preparation for this SQ, let's see if they can do some work for tomorrow's qual.

Front suspension change needs to be good, can't handle another year where the drivers can't express the pace of the car due to no temps. I have a feeling race pace will be strong here.

No excuse here, just stating what Charles said on his radio. It is clear at this point that Sainz is doing a better job with tyre warmup than Charles is, which you can see in their driving styles, hence why Charles has better tyre management.

I doubt Leclerc or the team would want to drive a new floor in the dying moments of a WCC battle if they didn't think it was an upgrade. He was clearly enjoying it in FP, but Sainz hadn't showed his hand.
