This might qualify as a low-effort post, but that is absolutely hillarious from the stewards.
Does smell of British bias
There is one only race steward from the UK at this race weekend, and it's Derek Warwick.
I think this is pure FIA must be seen doing something style of decision making.
Indeed and Warwick is notorious for giving Max huge leniency.

*eating my popcorn watching a certain drivers fans subconsciously de-legitinise his first WDC by finally coming to the realisation that made up rules out of nowhere to favour specifically one driver for some reason, shouldn't be a thing*

A 1 place drop actually is ridiculous though.

Wtf was his team even supposed to say?

" A rival driver is trying to go fast on an outlap. You have no obligation to him whatsoever, but please don't hold him up incase the race director pulls some non existent rules out of his ass"?

The way George complained and the way the director showed the shots of the incident I'm sure 100% of people watching were fooled into thinking George was on a hotlap.

Never even heard of a 1 spot grid penalty
Here is the reasoning.

This is what happens when a clever diplomatic lawyer and a blunt hitman are called to argue their side of a case in front of a new judge who feels lucky to be there, and is eager to impress the world by 'clever interpretation' of a non existing law

Same thing happened at Bahrain in Lewis's favor. Please do your research before pumping out brit propaganda, this is why the rest of the world struggles to take you seriously.

Ah yes, the famous "race director didn't enforce track limits with ANY car in race X, which is why it was perfectly fine for them to just make up new rules out of nowhere specifically to help ONLY my favourite driver on track and screw up everyon elses race so he can win a WDC in the title deciding race. Also, you're British, F U" defence.

Oh dear.

It's absolutely preposterous, I am getting convinced they just want to bully him off the sport. Their mindset seems to be "oh no, this driver is quite better than the others, there is a competitive onus here, quick better get rid of this outlier".

Does he get to keep the pole stat?

I hope so as George does not deserve that.

It appears that George has adopted the position of promoting himself as semi sighted, myopic Mr Mgoo type character in his efforts to get judgement made on other drivers.

That's the second one he's directly put himself at risk with (constructed scenario) to then plead for his own safety. No wonder MB are taking Antonelli as a driver next year, at least he apparently has clear 20/20 vision of the things he's going to hit

Note:- deliberate in exaggeration for comedy / drama impact .

Max has little else to prove to anybody at this point. And has said he does not want to race in F1 all his life. FIA need to be careful they dont push the superstar of our generation into early retirement simply because of some grudge against him for being a grown adult and not cowing to their puritanical vision like some obedient child.

Just bizarre, George has the radio warning, and a perfect line of sight of the two cars ahead the entire way. He chooses to increase his speed, rather than the cars ahead slowing down. Never leaves the track, never comes within 5 metres of Verstappen. Then after he passes, he proceeds to go even slower than Verstappen and Alonso were, on the racing line.

What a joke. Thank god the WDC is done. But they invented the one place grid penalty just for Max. This sport is a farce, still cant get over the Canada 2019, when stewards stole Vettel the win. It was a robbery that day also.
