Anyone saying the car was hard to drive without recognizing there was 100kg of fuel in the car which will always make the car less responsive, slower, etc., is being dishonest. The truth is even on the fast lap there was a decent amount of fuel likely onboard judging from the onboard.
It's not being 'dishonest' to recognize that on similar enough low fuel runs, the Ferrari was certainly lacking responsiveness in a few certain corners compared to the likes of Mclaren. You can speculate that this is coming from higher fuel than others, but that's really just a pure guess.

There's also plenty of things it could be, whether it's the car not being as dialed in yet, or that Leclerc did his fastest lap quite a bit before others did their bests, where conditions were different and whatnot. Maybe the tires weren't brand spanking new? Hard to say.

But it's still entirely reasonable to point out that something the car struggled with last year was still there in the similar-enough run by Ferrari compared to Mclaren. Maybe it's a sign of things to come, maybe it's not. Nobody is concluding anything. Just observing.
If other’s speculation about fuel load levels is a “pure guess”, how is your speculation (“similar enough low fuel runs”) any more accurate?

So many opinions. So what’s the verdict? Is SF-25 going along the path of SF-23 or will it be F1-75 launch version?

I am pretty positive of the test guys for the sole reason which is the weather. Ferrari maybe struggles a bit but we must see the temps in the track. We must not forget that on the previous years when the temps where not normal (normal for me is above 24c at least), Ferrari had huge problems heating the tires and to see them now with a new car so close to the others that are fine with this temps, i am pretty happy and positive.
I just hope the whole test will be like this because hour after hour they will improve and they will tame the beast soon :).

There's no year, Ferrari will struggle to get within the 107% and will forever retire in shame before the start of the season. We all saw Leclerc's smile, that's a sad smile hiding lack of performance, worse than Sauber.

If we were to react like people were reacting yesterday I suppose it's already over for the others. They all better pack it up since Lewis is now the fastest person on track.

The first day is usually completely useless unless the car is a total disaster which was the case in 2023. I don’t know if the SF25 will be the strongest or even good enough to compete for the win this year but the situation is nothing like 2023 where it was clear that the car was a complete clownshow.

Hopefully we’ll get a race simulation today.

even if they start bad, they can end good, at list based on the evidence how sf23 and sf24 improved throughout the year, also that asymmetry cooling outlet looks quite ugly from back view, they can't stop making the car look ugly..

the only 'takeaway' for people watching the 'testing' on TV, is :
"ogle at the visible aero surfaces, and if one is clever enough, to conjecture the what/why of it"
"body language of the cars/drivers/personnel"
There is absolutely no meaning to 'laptime data' and analysis based on it, yet that's what I am seeing being done in so many team threads :D
