If other’s speculation about fuel load levels is a “pure guess”, how is your speculation (“similar enough low fuel runs”) any more accurate?
This isn't complicated at all.
It's a blind guess to say the Ferrari is heavier.
I'm just saying they were clearly on similar enough fuel levels, which they so very obviously were, being very similar times on the same tires on similar 'hotlap' runs against their closest expected competition. This should be complete common sense to anybody who has been watching F1 for more than a year, come on now.
I am not saying the EXACT SAME fuel levels either, just similar enough. Same rough ballpark.
Saying that Ferrari were a fair bit heavier on fuel is based on nothing, on the other hand. Just an overdefensive reaction to my casual observations which I keep maintaining over and over may not mean anything significant at all, but still felt it was worth mentioning because it was the same issue we had last year. There's obviously plenty of time left to go to see how things develop. I never said anything was set in stone or concluded anything about anything. I've been following F1 testing for many, many years, I'm aware of how these things go.
