Nah Mod, you're just saying that because you're a jilted ex-FOTA lover.
Ah I see... That part isn't the snowplough, its the splitter. Often known as the 'Tea tray'. This part has to exist to meet the flat bottom rules. Although its also part of the aero to seperate the airflows aroudn and under the car, the little fences running along its edge are common, only williams run without them.pipex wrote:Hi scarbs, i don't know if the name i used for the part is right but i saw it at 00:30 and 01:04. Maybe it was a mistake from me.
I wouldn't say 'despise' - perhaps suspicious of/uncertain/doubtful.n smikle wrote:Question; Why do the Brits despise this new Lotus team? I have read numerous times where Bits pass the team off as some hopeless imitator or as an unrelated spin off with just a licensed name. They look like the real deal to me. They have the name, the cars the technology, they own the company it self. What more do they have to do before they are accepted?
I think we all have a passion for certain marques that have heritage or history not just the english. What would people be saying if the ferrari name purchased and a company in Vietnam (vietnam was a random country I chose)started making Ferrari F1 cars? I'd love to see the boards then. Its about that very English trait, heritage…

If Ross Brawn had started a team with the Lotus name, there would be a lot more confidence.
I think the trouble with Mike is you never really know what will happen. Ross is a great manager and thoroughly understands engineering and also what it takes to ge the WHOLE job done.
I'm not so sure Mike is the man for that.
He might produce a brilliant car, it is also just as likely that the toys will start flying around.
I haven't noticed that, all the new teams are treated in the same way. I suggest it is a culture thing, lost in translation. What I see is a very healthy disregard for people who come along with showmanship and have yet to show their substance.n smikle wrote:Question; Why do the Brits despise this new Lotus team?
OK, so is that fact or opinion???Lotus news on BBC wrote:Fernandes went on to state that his target for next season was to beat fellow F1 newcomer Virgin Racing, which is backed by British aviation tycoon Richard Branson.
"I said that number one we have to be ahead of Branson, otherwise I will retire and kill myself," he added.
