I don't mind (that much) the drivers all following the same strategy, and I don't mind the fastest lap of the race being half an hour off the pole winning lap, but I am genuinely worried about drivers being so afraid to get anywhere near the car in front.. If you thought this was boring wait till Valencia!!!
On the other hand, these are hard times, and as a lot of fellow forum members have been advocating F1 needs to cut its costs, so no surprise we're getting a watered down version of it: you get what (others) pay for!
So, here are my suggestions for further cost cutting, which may even allow further new teams (we so desperately need) to come in to F1:
A single set of tires for 8 race weekends: Bridgestone seem to be able to pull that off, and as everything else has to last that long why not the tires?
Each of the first four classified teams should share data and info, and advise each of the last four classified teams: these poor small teams are poor, and Jesus said he who has should giveth (or something). As an incentive, at the end of the year the team whose "protected" small team fares best gets a percentage of the other three highly ranked teams' money.
Scrap Europe, America and the far East: run 24 races in the Middle East and India. We know that's where the money is, that's where the sponsors are, and this would also cut down costs of moving the circus all around the globe.
Bring back further former F1 Champs and former F1 Champs' relatives: Big names attract big bucks.
On a more serious note, let's wait and see the next three-four races before we start panicking about the impending doom of the most boring season ever: panicking never helps to make sound decisions, and I sure as hell can remember more boring races than the one we just saw!
