How it possible to have different mirrors in one car?

You stick two different type on....! nothings says they have to be symetrical!

That was used by Mclaren and Williams too and it was done because on some circuits there are turns which are better viewed if the mirror on specific side is positioned according to demands of that specific turn. And not only that, in 2005 Ferrari used asymmetrical sidepods/chimneys on at least one race.

If I remeber correctly the mirrors are positioned differently because Shumacher wants to be able to see the condition of the rear tires. So one mirror is positioned so that he can se backwards + the rear tire and the other i positioned for optimum view backwards.

I think theres an oilradiator on one side and a wateradiator on the otherside. The different cooling requirements of the radiators explains the different sidepodconfiguration for each side of the car.

Lots of leMans cars use asymetrical mirrors also. I remember the Toyota GT-One did too.

Yeah, but that makes all the sense: the driver doesn't sit in the centreline of the car.

He is correct. The picture here has the right mirror up higher which leads to poorer aerodynamics, but Schumi needed this to keep an eye on his Rear Right tire to check it's condition. He only needs to check 1 tire because it endures the most load as most of the turns on this track were to the left, leading to more load on the rear right tire.

The Left mirror is positioned lower for better aerodynamics.

That could be it but... if it is Monza, I REALLY think that most load and stress is put in the left tyre, mainly because of Biassono, Lesmos and Parabolica RIGHT turns...

yeah but what if the loading cxausing the damage to the Ferrari's tyres at Monza wasn't lateral...what if it was longitudinal.

What i mean is, we know the F2005 didnt have great aerodynamics, so at a low downforce circuit at monza, the car accelerating out of Retifillo(where it turns right into the curva grande), lesmo and parabolia, could spin its INSIDE rear wheel under too much wheel spin when exiting the corners.

In which case the rear right tyre would get more wear.
