Can we confirm that the clock is accurate in showing 15:32? This clock needs a thread of its own!

Woops, sorry, didn't notice the clock. Of course with CET, there would be a hours difference, and then there was no TV start time, so it is certainly possible that race started at 1530 local time. And there is also the possibility that there was no actual designated time for the start.

As it's wet there's a good chance they delayed the start until after heavy downpour.

Or it started earlier and they just spent a lot of laps that close to each other (which I doubt).

I read an interview with Bernie some time ago where he said that back in the "good old days" they used to start the race when everybody was ready, rather than at a set time. He said that once, when every other driver was ready and waiting, Jochen Rindt stayed inside his garage smoking a cigar to delay the start. He said "they can't start the german gp without me!!"

So there's no reason to doubt that the 1965 belgian gp started at 3:30

On the official F1 site - formula1.com - there is a song associated with 2009 Belgian GP and I liked it very much. It kinda (the pace of the song) just fits with the fast life of F1 and perfect match with the video (I think).

Just searched on YouTube and found the video:

An Australian newspaper proclaims Webber the favorite for the Spa race. When I opened the article I saw a long list of irrelevant opinions and no coherent argument for the claim.

I looked the odds up at Williams Hill for the race:

and surprise surprise Webber is only getting 5.0 behind Alonso at 3.75 and Vettel at 3.25. Amazing how far journos go in misleading their readers.

Well it's an Australian paper. You'd expect them to gee up their local favorite. Spain will be proclaiming Alonso favorite, and Germany/Austria will be pro-Vettel. Britain will be playing up Sector 1 and 3's long straights for McLaren supremacy. Oh, and maybe the Indian papers will be saying that Force India's improved form this season will see them 1 better than they did last year? :P

5 day weather forecast for Spa. Hope it's wet, but not wet enough for a pathetic safety car start! [-o<

Unfortunately the race is in SEVEN days.

But if you google "10 day forecast", you will see that Fri and Sat will be warm with light cloud, and Sunday will be warm and showery.

It's not is it?! :o Of course I know when the race is! In 3 days time that link should have the weekend weather. A handy link for nearer the race is all it is.

I'm very much looking forward to seeing the RB6 at Pouhon in qualifying if it's dry. I think it's going to be massively fast!
