Certainly a very weird accident for Hamilton in FP1. Watching the onboard footage, he seems to have control of the car during turn-in, but then mid-corner he just gets loads of understeer.

If I'm not mistaken the traps here are just before 130R?

Just after, actually, according to the circuit diagram at F1.com.

I saw in replay as he went over large bump on the kerb outside in mid corner and his suspension/steering was damaged then or maybe there was tire punctured.

The Dengers are always an accident hotspot... the gravel is very tricky.
@wrigs - thanks

Any cause why Mark lost .36 in S2 and a bit in S1 to Seb?

autosport:
Despite finishing nearly four tenths of a second off Vettel's pace in the afternoon, Webber admitted he was not worried about the times today.

"I don't normally battle on Friday," said Webber, who is 21 points ahead of Vettel. "He did a few more laps and a laptime at the end. As usual he was not hanging around but Sunday is what counts.

Heavy rain predicted tommorow which should even things up a bit.

The Danish commentators reported that there are discussions in the paddock about moving qualifying to Sunday morning because of the predicted showers for tomorrow.

In FP2 the Ferrari's started their low fuel/soft tire run before Redbull and still couldn't get near the RBR hard tire time. Sector 1 the RBR are killing the field.

In order to set things straight on whether or not the Ferrari's were showing their true pace or not.
autosport:
Massa believes that, in dry conditions, it might be more realistic for Ferrari to set beating McLaren pairing Jenson Button and Lewis Hamilton as its target for the weekend.

"Maybe," he said of the prospect of racing for best of the rest rather than victory. "Looking at the difference in the laptimes now, it's easier to say that.

"There is a little bit more to come from the car, but not a huge amount."

I think you will find that they were all trying today as they were aiming to complete a full dry tyre program due to the rain predicted for tomorrow.

Doesn't answer my question, unless you're saying that Mark pushed in S1 and S3 (he was FASTER than Seb in S3) and coasted in S2. Or there's a deeper-rooted setup issue

I hope that doesn't happen, i think we need some rain to spice this race weekend up - otherwise Red Bull are going to run away with it.

Wasn't that what we said about Spain, Silverstone, and Hungary?
