If Vettel had let Webber past and then in Abu Dhabi Webber fails to finish Red Bull will be worse off. This way they still have their options open.
I expect Alonso to be WDC, I don't much care for him but I admire his race craft.
Good foresight - or not, because it could have worked the other way and Webber was in contention and just lost it because they hadn't switched positions in the penultimate race... But you had a point there, Seb earned his title by winning back-to-back.tok-tokkie wrote:Red Bull were berated by many on the Brazil thread for not switching Vettel & Webber. It would have been a disaster in retrospect. I posted this on that thread.

agree totally, very sad for Mark, he'll come back firing next year...i just hope people remember the awesome season he has had, not only fighting other teams/drivers, his team mate and sadly his own team...they got what they wanted in the end.marcush. wrote:Jenson Button. 26 points behind the Boss come season final ...I think some forum members should think about their perception of driver qualities....
Sebastian Vettel I ´m surprised he did come back as strong as he did.
Mark Webber I´m disappointed ,utterly disappointed he was showing that pressure got on him, even though I think Alguesuari did idiotic things holding him up..the two are clearly paid by the same guy so why robbing poor Mark of his slim chances..
Fernando Alonso :lacklustre ..where was the alonso of recent races....did they really forget about Mercedes ,Mclaren and Renault in their calculations? silly...
Luck had nothing to do with it today. He fundamentally lack the pace and relying on luck to win you races/championships is wishful thinking at best (not that it has not happened before though). Alonso, LH and Vettel have all had how many reliability issues and how many has Mark had (just a gearbox change in Canada)? Sorry but Mark has had a near bullet proof car that captured 15 of the possible 19 poles this year. If he is unable to earn a WDC in that machinery than what will it take?alvinkhorfire wrote: I feel sorry for Webber. I guess that the luck was not at his side again.
Actually I think Alonso's chances of passing Rosberg were higher. Remember that Hamilton also couldn't do anything with Kubica. Renault acceleration and straight line speed were amazing!Mysticf1 wrote:Alonso, what can i say, very disappointing performance from him, sure ultimately the team are responsible for his pit stop but he never looked like he was going to pass Petrov, let alone Rosberg. I wonder if Webber was content in staying behind Alonso incase he was able to get up to 4th

Webber got what he deserved indeed, it was a bellow par performance all weekend...your later comments are just ridiculous...i guess Singapore still hurts, get over it!Shrieker wrote:Webber got what he deserved, no objections please.
