Who will win?

Pole: Schumi

Winner:( according to others its Kimi and Schumi are the top 2 choices )

I have nothing to be sure Schumi or Kimi wins ( maybe JB's first here in Imola? ) quite possible

Rb is in with a shot also, i think kimi is in with a fight to win, cant really see it myself.

The question of the day, how much fuel is in the ferrari? i would like to put my money on button, but i think the ferrari is too strong.

GO BUTTON!! i really hope he wins this time round...too bad i have to work that night so i might miss first half of the race!!

Rubens really did well to get P3 didnt he, from wat hes been like so far thats amazing. i really dont know about the mclarens, havnet been that fast all weekend (then again neither has hondas), but renault and ferrari have.

BTW, i was just wondering, in friday pracs the test/friday drivers can run right?? But on the sat morning session only race drivers are allowed to run?? is that correct?

Alonso. I haven't seen the quali but I think he could win from anywhere in front of 6th. Kimi could be fast though (2005) but unfortunetly the favorite is probably MS. Lets hope he spins twice on the warm up. Any weather reports yet? (I have a feeling we'll have a wet Monaco for some reason this year)

The 2 Hondas will be light, since their qualifying times or fast. I expect them to pit somewhere around 19-23. And Schuey will be on track longer I think, he'll probaly pit somewhere in 20-25, the 2 Mclarens are heavy on fuel I as I expect. Massa is unknown but I estimate he'll come in a few later than Michael.

Consering that this race is Ferrari's home race and the effort that they have put into testing, it's no surprise to me where they are at. I'm not sure about McLaren, they seem to have lost pace, as well as Williams. Renault have displayed pace in practice, but qualitying for them really didn't go right. Who knows what the heck is going on with Fisi, for a driver I support, he has suddenly become very erratic and incnsistent. The most improved driver is Barrichello, he's now consistently only .2 seconds behind Button. Button has been here before, start on the front row, but can he do what he usually manages, and fade backward during the race? No matter what happens during the race, what Reubens learns today will pay off big time down the future, he knows how to win and his feedback from the race will give Honda invaluable information.
But unless misfortune happens or someone pulls off a big surprise, it's Shu's race to win.

I don't think Schumacher put a foot / wheel wrong all weekend. (Did he get fastest lap too?) Shame about Button (again) and Rubens was pretty consistently abismal from lap one. Good to see J.V. finsih ahead of Heidfeld but I was surprised to see them so far down the order. Bring on the Nurburgring!!

What a stupid thing that happened during the pit stop of Button. A really big mistake of the lollypop man!
I've heard that this was Honda's best chance to win a race this season, well, if that's true....they won't win this season :P

Too bad Alonso couldn't pass Schumi with the pit stop situation, that was his only chance, because the circuit at Imola leaves almost no room to overtake the car in front of you, even if you're faster.

Well...8 points for Alonso, too bad Fisico could only collect 1 point. McLaren and Ferrari are approaching Renault in the Constructors' championship.

This will be very close season! I've enjoyed the race today

My thoughts are same as Principessa's.

Strange thing happened with Michaels car, apparently it's the "used" tyres that lost grip and enforced understeer after the first round of pits. But then at the second round he got a new set of tyres and his pace didn't improve at all.

It was very excited :)

Well...I think Schumi should be glad that the track at Imola is that narrow Scuderia or your beloved emperor hadn't won in front of the Tifosi!
Alonso was way faster! But still...congrats to Schumi!
